2 Different Sounds in my 2008 Escape Hybrid
Ok, so my Escape has 113k miles and I bought it recently
1st sound: when the weather warms up, and i start the car, immediately there is a sound coming from the front that sounds the same as if you were holding something up to a fan and letting it hit the fan as it rotates. This sound lasts about 3 seconds.... compressor issues?????????? 2: when the car warms up enough, after about 15 min of driving, there is a repetitive clicking sound coming from (what sounds like ) behind the radio area. This sound is not rhythmic and is kind of sporadic, as it does not do it every time i drive the car- clicking can be at a stop light or while driving.... |

My suspicion is #2 is the blend door actuator for the front system of HVAC vents.

My clicking quit when I fixed the a.c., I think it was trying to kick in but was under charged or the scroll valve was bad or both, how does your a.c. wwork?
