2009 Ford Escape Hybrid SSN
I've recently purchased a new 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid. I started the escape and it turned on with no issues. I went to shift from park to drive and the stop safely now alert came up with the Hazard and wrench. I put the car in park and turned the car off. I connected a OBDII to the vehicle restarted and the only error that shows is U2511 and nothing else. No other codes. After quite a bit of time going through the same process, driving backwards (but it wouldn't let me drive forward) etc. The car finally started and let me shift to drive with no issues. Is there something that I should be looking at? I recently had it serviced and there were no issues (of course) .

Re: 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid SSN
Not smart enough to offer an opinion. I bought my 2009 Hybrid new. Occasionally, for no apparent reason, the yellow wrench comes on. No pattern to it. It has happened when cold and after it warms up. It always clears when I turn it off and restart. No idea what triggers it. But, it seems to not be a 'real'problem. Have not had any mechanical issues with mine, now at 76k miles. Just oil changes, tires and brakes. Hopefully, you will find out what is acting up in your car soon!

BTW, your scanner tool will not read a great many of the Ford proprietary codes.
