THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
Since I just went through the process of changing all my air filters I thought I would combine the info I collected from several other threads.
Listed below are all of the relevant part #'s I gathered from this forum as well as some recommended online retailers. If anyone has updated/confirmed part #'s and/or prices please post them here or PM me and I will update this post. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ford Escape / Mercury Mariner Hybrid Filters Cabin Air Filter: (2005-2006) https://www.greenhybrid.com/share/fi...filter-300.jpg Purolator - C25478 NPN - R2060-239544 (per partsamerica.com) Bosch - R2060-138313 (per GH) Bosch - P3710 Motorcraft OEM - FP49 Wix - 24816 NAPA – FIL 4816 AC DELCO - CF108 & CF108C (listed for 07-08 but actually rectangular so probably for 05-06) (2007-2009) https://www.greenhybrid.com/share/fi...filter-300.jpg Ford - 8L8Z-19N619-B Motorcraft - FP-66 ---------------------------------------------------------- Engine Air Filter (2005-2009): https://www.greenhybrid.com/share/fi.../7/ca10170.jpg Fram - CA10170 Motorcraft OEM - FA1772 Purolator - A25567 K&N - 33-2347 Wix - 49187 NAPA - FIL 9187 ------------------------------------------------------------- Battery Air Filter: (2005-2009) https://www.greenhybrid.com/share/fi...1_ang_0310.jpg Purolator - C25571 Motorcraft OEM - FP51 Wix - 24477 NAPA – FIL 4477 ------------------------------------------------------- Engine Oil Filter: (2005-2009) https://www.greenhybrid.com/share/fi...l15505_sid.jpg Ford OEM - FL-2017-B Mazda OEM - L321-14-302-9U (per GH) Purolator - L15505 (standard) Purolator PureOne - PL15505 Wix - 57203 K&N - HP-7013 (per GH) NAPA – FIL 2703 (Gold) NAPA- SFI 27203 (ProSelect) Bosch - Oil Filter 3314 _____________________________________________ Online retailers, part #'s and prices (as of 3/2/2010) _____________________________________________ ------------------------------------ www.Amazon.com (free super saver shipping) Cabin Filter - Wix 24816 - $16.18 Engine Filter - Fram CA10170 - $9.65 Battery Filter - Wix 24477 - $14.31 Oil Filter - Wix 57203 - $6.06 ------------------------------------- www.advanceautoparts.com (free shipping on orders over $80) Cabin -Purolator C25478 - $23.49 Engine - Purolator A25567 - $10.59 Battery - Purolator C25571 - $15.77 Oil - Purolator L15505 - $6.59 -------------------------------------------- www.RockAuto.com Cabin Filter - Wix 24816 - $14.38 Engine Filter - Wix 49187 - $27.79 Battery Filter - Wix 24477 - $13.40 Oil Filter - Wix 57203 - $3.96 ___________________________________ Here are the relevant posts for reference Air Filters: https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...r-filter-9525/ https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...-filter-12782/ https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...r-filter-7649/ https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...r-filter-4261/ https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...front-c-14177/ https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...-filter-15043/ https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...y-filter-5771/ https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...ter-08s-14383/ Oil Filters: https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...40/index2.html https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...l-filter-6562/ https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...l-filter-4474/ https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...-filter-14165/ CHANGING THE FILTERS - ------------------------------------------------------ Battery Filter: 1. Re: THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
Great thread Tim, I'm stickying this for others to find quickly.

Re: THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
Great thread Tim. If you want to go "cheap", you can buy a furnace filter and cut it to size for the cabin air filter (you can get 4-6 per furnace filter), and use some duct tape to "seal" the edges. Certainly wouldn't do this with a required filter like the battery one, but it works in place of the no-filter-installed-at-factory cabin filter.

Re: THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
Bosch Part Number P3710 is for a Cabin Micron Filter.
NOT an engine filter, as posted in post #1. Cost was $15.99 at Checker Auto. Fits All Escapes and Tributes from 2001 to 2006 incl. Hybrid. ( Probably 2006 and earlier Mariner also ) I just put one in. It looks like the battery air filter only larger. Fits perfectly, and installs easily in 10 minutes or less. All you need is a standard Phillips head screwdriver. -John https://www.greenhybrid.com/share/fi...abinFilter.jpg |
Re: THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
Thanks John. I corrected the first post. Any idea what the Bosch - R2060-138313 is then? I've seen this on a couple of auto parts sites as the cabin filter.

Re: THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
Maybe there's more than one?
Maybe one is able to filter 5 micron particles and one 1 micron? I have no idea. I just went to the store and bought the only option they had: P3710 which is for sure a cabin filter. |
Re: THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
Some of the Bosch filters have activated carbon impregnated in them for the skunk factor.

Re: THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
As I just posted in another thread, the confirmed part numbers for a 2007-2008 cabin air filter are:
Ford: 8L8Z-19N619-B Motorcraft: FP-66 I have the Ford/Motorcraft box and it has both part numbers on it. |
Re: THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
I looked up the air filter part number for the 08's High Voltage battery in the back. It is the same as previous generations of FEH. Part number FP51.

Re: THE Air and Oil Filter Thread
I put a cabin air filter (FP-66) in my 2008 the other day. Those with 2008 and newer models should note that the process documented here in this thread is for the previous generation and is not exactly the same for the Gen2 FEH. It's very similar, but there are some differences. Of note, the cowl can not be removed without removing the wipers. And, even if you were to remove the cowl, the air intake box is not fully accessible as it is partly covered by the firewall in the newer vehicles. Also, the FP-66 must be slightly deformed to fit in the box. It's "almost" the right size but not quite.
