Anyone want an X3-FRDW AUX input interface for their CD changer?
I just sold my 06 MMH and pulled out the X3 Adapter. For those who don't know, it allows you to plug in behind the CD changer under the passenger seat and have 3 Auxiliary RCA inputs. It is of no value to me anymore, but if anyone wants it, its yours for the cost of shipping. If you are local to the Philly area I'm happy to meet you and save you the shipping.
Basically, it plugs in between the head unit and CD changer....and you put the headunit in CD mode and the X3 basically intercepts the signal and injects whatever you plug into the 3 Aux ports. I had a sirius plu and play radio and a mini jack to RCA wire to feed audio from a phone or MP3 headphone jack. There's a button you can mount to the dash or center console to select between the actual CD changer audio and the 3 Aux inputs.
If you want more info just ask ....
Should work for Escapes and Mariners up to 06 with the CD changer and no AUX input on the headunit. I don't know if it works on later models.
