Default HV Battery Current Xgauge

After looking at the TCM 496E PID on a Ford WDS system, it appears that the scaling is in fact 0.1, which means the xgauge can be coded such that both positive (out of the battery) and negative (into the battery) current is displayed correctly.

SO, the xgauge is as follows:

TXD: 07E122496E
RXF: 04628549066E
RXD: 3010
MTH: 000100010000
NAM: AMP

Have fun.

DD:
I have a 2008 FEH 2WD with Scangauge V. 3.15 and using your xgauge settings the number reading may be correct except charging the HV battery is indicated with a - and discharging is blank which I assume is a plus. Does that seem correct?

If you mean blank as in no sign in front of the number, then yes that is positive or discharge amps. The negative sign is charging.

Thanks. In that case it is working perfect. I thought - amps meant amps coming out of the battery.

Carl- I have everything coded as posted, and when accelerating hard, I've seen numbers as high as 105.

Just to clarify, this TCM xGauge is to show how many amps are flowing through the transmission, and not just the battery, correct?

Of course, in EV mode, the number would equal battery amps.
As I understand it, the battery alone is NOT putting out 105 amps.

Battery amps plus generator amps could very well exceed 105.

The following xgauge reads the bus instead of requesting a PID. As far as I know it is current from the HV battery whereas the 496E is from the TCM.

TXD: 0308
RXF: 010380000000
RXD: 140C
MTH: 00010001FA24
NAM: Ibt
