The question is if your 2008 was setup for the heating option. I have read on this site that only early model 2008 had the connectors installed. Mine was built in late 2007, so it probably has it, although I'll never need it here in LA. What is your build date?

There is a post https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...03/index7.html (post #62) that shows where to check and see if you have the wiring and therefore the battery heater in you vehicle. Just fold down the back seat on the drivers side and lift up the rear cargo area mat.
Then the parts you need should be:
4M6Z*6B018*AA WIRE ASSY - This is the 120V cord to plug it in
F5RZ*6A051*B HEATER ASSY - Engine block heater
5M6Z*10B689*AA WIRE ASSY - CHARGER HIGH VOLTAGE - The 120V -> 24VDC power supply for the HV battery heater
