Default Maintenance Photos

I'm new to having a hybrid. As with any new car, there's a few things I need to get familiar with. Does anyone have photos of the places where oil filters and air filters go? As well as differential fluid, changing spark plugs, etc?

I haven't had to change my oil yet, but will eventually. And I can't find the cabin air filter (the HV battery air filter was easy). Any hints, folks?

Thanks.

Be careful when you go for the cabin filter. The panel under the hood (as shown in the photo above) would lead you to believe there are only four plastic pseudo-screws holding the panel in place. There are, in fact, four more on the windshield (back) side of the cover plate. Those must also be removed. Lift up the rain shield and pull it toward the front to remove. The cabin air filter is underneath. If you're interested, Fram has their Fresh Breeze series of cabin filter, which, to me, seems a bit better with a very light fresh scent. Otherwise, the regular cabin filters work just fine.

If you're a more graphical person (as I am), go to the micronair.com website. Enter FD01110P on their search mode. It'll pull up the picture version of what I just said. Fram also has a video on changing filters in an FEH. Hope this helps.

Thanks, folks! You're very helpful. Any photos on where the oil filter is, or is it pretty self-explanatory once I crawl under there?

BillyK,

what do you use to clean and degrease under the hood? Any special technique to it?

Thanks.

The oil filter was very obvious on my '09.
