That's the first on the list in post #7. Are you having trouble getting it to work?

Looks like a standard ethernet plug and cable to me John.

That is correct. A standard ethernet cat 5 or 6 cable works. I can post a photo if one needs to see my two scangauges daisy chained together.

Next question: how do you get the HV battery SOC display? More-more-then what numbers/key do you punch in?

To enter the xgauge for state-of-charge:

MORE>MORE>MORE>XGAUGE>EDIT
then enter the folowing numbers: 0 -> 7 -> 4 -> 5 -> 2 -> 2 -> 4 -> 9 -> 2 -> 3
should then have 0745224923 showing
press OK>
then enter: 0 -> 4 -> 6 -> 2 -> 8 -> 5 -> 4 -> 9 -> 0 -> 6 -> 2 -> 3
press OK>
then enter: 3 -> 0 -> 1 -> 0
press OK>
then enter: 0 -> 0 -> 7 -> D -> 2 -> 0 -> 0 -> 0 -> 0 -> 0 -> 0 -> 0
press OK>
then enter the name you want one letter at a time: S -> O -> C
press OK>
press SAVE>
press EXIT>
in gauge mode press the buttons until SOC shows up

Cool, so where can I buy a black cat 5 cable about six inches long?? (I would make my own but it's a PITA & the special crimper for those connectors is one of the few specialty tools I don't already own)

These X gauges are swesome, I added SOC & a bunch of trip gauges -I love this feature.........

I bought a 3 foot cable from Staples that was looped in a circle with cable ties. I have a special crimper for this and maybe I should try it. Then again, most of us need to figure out where we are going to place/locate our two or more scangauges and then figure out the cable length needed. Time for a photo contest on scangauge placements.

Thanks Carl. The Caveman here is now able to read the HV SOC. I going to wait a few days to see if a similar post will appear for the some of the other hybrid readings.

I have mine like this:

http://www.pbase.com/jmorton10/image/79877382

I can easily mount two of them end to end next to each other & use about a 6" cable to connect them. I also have the remote display for a Valentine 1 radar detector mounted in there which isn't shown in this shot, but both SG's & the V1 display will fit perfectly in there.

I think it's time to thank Carl (DesertDog) and Ron Delong the inventor of Scangauge for all their work. The sky is the limit to improve our mileage and rob Big Oil the way they've rob the people on this Planet of money and clean air.

We now can drive an SUV with pride and still transport our families safely. Leave it to America to fight for what's right when we can.
