At least the same as in my 06 FEH.
Aisin manufactured the eCVT and Sanyo manufactured the HVBattery in your 2006....to a Ford design spec.
Sounds likely that battery manufacturing may now be feasible in the US....what with all the new hybrid and electric models from 'domestic' companies hitting the market. It's got to be getting close to 10 years since Ford was looking for someone to develop and produce FEH batteries.

I would suspect that the 2005 is the same. How many
years has the Aisin/Sanyo relationship run? 2011 FEH
still Aisin/Sanyo?

All 05-11 are Aisin/Sanyo.

Future Escape replacement vehicle's lithium-ion battery pack likely from the Holland, Michigan Johnson-Controls Sach plant as an existing contract between Ford and JCS exists.

Asian eCVT likely replaced by one built at the Detroit area plant that makes the electric Ford Focus transmission.

You know, I've never gotten under my FEH to look at the transmission. I'm not sure that an external look would provide any insight.

The Aisin AW HD-20 ( Ford T-031 ) transmission is just to the
right of the ICE you can't miss it. On the back are some big
orange cables coming from the HV Battery. As suggested
here the Aisin eCVT supplied is special just for Ford but
I suspect if you looked hard enough you'd find it elsewhere.
I think maybe in the Lexus Hybrid.

No, the Toyota engines are manufactured at the same place, but they are a Toyota design. Neither Ford nor Toyota borrowed designs from each other.

Correct, but from what I understand Ford realized that
their independent Hybrid design was so similar to
Toyota that they went into a cross patent agreement
with Toyota.

That is also my understanding. But they did not cross license the engine designs; each auto maker orders their design for production. Toyota and Ford are different engines with similar technology.
