The oil pan drain plug gasket is pretty much part of the plug. I've never had to replace one on this design.

The drain plug on the filter canister does not need to be removed. It CAN be removed to make the job a little bit less messy, but I never bother (they strip out anyway).

I've always just used a large pair of channel locks on this filter canister. I know, I know.. it's not the 'right' way to do it, but it works everytime... just be very careful as the canister is plastic and I would imagine breaks very easily... don't apply a whole lot of pressure on the channel locks.. just enough to hold it in place while rotating it loose.

Once you turn it maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of a turn you can easily rethread it the rest of the way by hand.

The filter canister holds maybe.. .1/2 of a quart of oil so you won't lose very much when you replace the filter.. just make sure the oil is properly topped off when you're done.

O really? That is exactly my colleague told me but I did not believe in him then because he has a different car...I will try to change the filter without change all the oil this time then. I bought 5 L oil and only used 4.25L, I still have 0.7L or 2/3 quart of oil left.

I bought Mobil 1 full synthetic oil too, cost me cad$40. Hopefully not a big deal to use it at 2400KM.

Checking webserver stats...I see someone found a pic of the filter for my I-4 manual Fusion SEL. Here are more:

No, no, no, the picture(s) that is great is the one showing that we "adults" are a bunch of morons when a two year old can crawl under a Fusion I-4 2.3L (Escape HEV) and help get that cartridge changed!
