Default Short light life?

Asking for a Facebook post, they said they have an 08 and all ready replaced a headlight, 2 turn signal & a marker bulb.

I haven't seen any complaints on here of any problems like this. Any ideas why so many so fast?

Check the voltage at the 12 volt battery with the engine running. voltage over 14.4 can cause premature light bulb failure. Also driving down VERY bumpy roads with the lights on can also cause this. Or a run of cheap or poor quality light bulbs.

I replaced my first lamp, a headlamp, at close to 100,000 miles and 5 years old.

BTW, the bulb was cheaper at NAPA than Wal-Mart!

At 2 years and 5 months 17,250 miles on my 08 FEH, I haven't replaced a bulb yet. I have only had two oil changes and replaces air filter and battery air filter and all three wiper blades.

That's what I thought, but afraid to say the same. It'll be 3yrs old in may, and haven't had a bulb out yet. I replaced my air filters with K&N on the first year. I'd say 50-70% of my driving is at night too.

So I gues this person had a bad batch of bulbs, or bad regulator running more than 14.4v thru the system.

Thanks for the quick replies!

I've replaced 1 brake light at around 40,000 miles on my 08 FEH. No other issues with respect to lighting.

I ran into this with a '91 Jeep Cherokee .Problem was a bad block ground. cleaned and ran another ground to a frame rail.
