I also think that the sun roof is no longer available as a separate option. You must also get the satellite radio too (sun and tune ?), even if you live in AK or HI and can't even use the radio.
So where are the lights, in the floor area?

When I got mine in July you had to get the satellite radio with the sunroof (I would rather have not had the silly satellite antenna on top.)

Question for those with the steering wheel audio and NAV system. What is the program version for your NAV unit? You can look at INFO on the NAV unit to get this info.

On other models, they are in the cup holders too. However, I can't find any sort of a description for the Escapes anywhere.

Default Hitch wiring.

Harrynew, there are some threads in this forum that address just that & what parts to order. I think the FEH is ok but the MMH will blink fast unless you add the part you are mentioning.

Myself I got the hitch mount more for adding a 4 carrier bike rack then to tow our trailer. With the current kit I have, it plugs into the existing wiring & is all external so you don't need to route any wires inside the vehicle. I have used out trailer on it 1 or 2 times. Other then the fast blink I did not have any warning light issues. If I end using the trailer on my MMH more I will get the other kit that will do just what you describe, bring more power to the circuit.

It looks like the 2009 FEH will also get Sync.

Following is the description of ambient lighting as it appears in the '08 Focus launch material. Presumably it would be similar in other Fords:

The 2008 Focus will also be the first in its segment to offer factory-installed ambient lighting. "The ambient light is a really cool new feature," said Lon Zaback, Focus chief designer. "It has lights in the cupholders and the foot wells, and it allows you to change between seven different colors. So, it does allow you to have that personalization and change the mood within the vehicle." According to Mahendra Dassanayake, staff technical specialist, Product Development Center, different colors create different effects. "Let's say you're driving a long distance. You can switch to a light blue color," he said. "There is scientific evidence that shows that blue light will help you feel more awake and less sleepy." Dassanayake says ambient lighting also provides a greater feeling of safety. "Lack of light tends to be eerie, especially in the pitch dark countryside," he said. "With this feature, you can add light to the cabin and feel more secure."

Thanks. Mustang is similar, and the Mustang brochure even has pics too.

But like me, you can't find anything on the Escapes either.

I understand from a source that the omission of redundant audio controls on the Job 1 hybrids was nothing more than an error. They corrected the issue for Job 2, but in the process, changed the cruise control circuitry in the new wheel (oh for Pete's sake) so...a retrofit to Job 1 models was/is nor possible. Absolutely ridiculous. Really.
