Yeah, same general location. Someone on this forum or elsewhere created this doc that does a good job of explaining everything.

Re: Stop safely now at higher RPM only
Anytime, hope it helps! From my own, and others', experience, the MECs pump definitely throws the SSN Warning, so that's NOT your likely issue. The vent actuator and HVTB fans do not cause the SSN Warning, though they will throw a wrench light (aka DTC). And again, with just rudimentary shop tools and a bucket you can save 100s of dollars doing it all yourself with info available here and elsewhere on the interwebs.

Re: Stop safely now at higher RPM only
ive checked that my mecs pump is running, and it seems to be running just a little slow, does anyone know if this will still give you the stop safely now or does the mecs pump have to be off for it to cause it?

Re: Stop safely now at higher RPM only
Running isn't the real issue, it's whether or not the pump is making coolant circulate in the reservoir, and whether it's enough to keep the warning from being triggered. I mention that because the pump can be running, but not pumping, or pumping so weakly that coolant flow isn't enough to cool the electronics. Same thing happened with my Cobra intercooler pump, which is essentially the same thing. It ran sometimes, but wouldn't pump.

ok then i believe thats whats happening because i do see that it pumps but i dont believe its pumping fast enough. i have noticed that in the heat of the day it comes with the stop safely more often. thanks guess i better order the pump ASAP and go from there.

There or likely Amazon.com for about the same price (last I checked, anyway) if you want aftermarket. Stealerships are usually $270 or so for OEM. I got the Dorman pump off Amazon last September, installed it shortly afterward, and haven't had a problem since.
