Trailer Connector Prewired?

Re: Trailer Connector Prewired?
Unfortunately, there is no "empty socket" into which you can simply plug in a trailer wiring harness.
Plus, be VERY careful about taping into the brakes lights (or any lights). Any tap CANNOT draw ANY current. None. This is due to the regenerative braking system, and the Message Center.

Re: Trailer Connector Prewired?
I will be attaching a "Segvator" to my trailer hitch to lift a pair of Segways from ground level to carrying level. The combined weight of Segways and Segvator are about 260 pounds, which are well within the towing limits of the FEH and actually there is no towing taking place. No wheels are on the ground.
The Segvator uses the seven way plug. It appears I will have to tap off at the 12 volt battery to get the current flow I will require. I am still chewing on how to make this requirement for power off to the plug when the ignition is off to prevent draining the 12 v battery.
