05 vs 06?

05 vs 06?
My wife and I are thinking very strongly about picking up the Accord Hybrid. There are still a few 05's left here in Colorado, but we are not sure if we should drop the money on an old model with the new one coming out. They are heavily discounting the few 05's that are coming.
Does anyone have any intel on pricing or availability for the 06 yet?? I have seen pics of the 06 hybrid in a brochure the dealer gave us, but no pricing yet. As the 05's are quickly dissapearing, we have to make a decision quickly.
Given the level of discount they are putting on 06 non-hybrids, if the hybrid goes at MSRP it will be difficult to justify a $6k hit.
I guess we are hoping they will discount somewhat, but it is probably a fools-hope.
rod.

Re: 05 vs 06?
The 06 has a sunroof and spare tire, neither are in the 05.
Other than taillights, that's the only change I've seen/heard. No word on pricing anywhere.
I'd jump at the 05 unless a sunroof is important to you. The 05 has/had a $1200 incentive on it that you can squeeze for too.

I have an 06 on order, but no word on pricing yet. My info matches GoNavy's - sunroof, spare tire and a few trim improvements. I am expecting them to hit the lot right around mid-december with pricing announced at that time (just my best guess).

Re: 05 vs 06?
The '06 also adds heated side mirrors (which I miss and wish I had these frosty mornings), redesigned rear spoiler with integral 3rd brake light (yuck), front "chin" spoiler, chrome exhaust finishers, pistol grip shift handle ****, and satin "chrome" trim around the radio/NAV (double yuck) and A/C vents. Supposedly there have been some suspension tweaks (hopefully they didn't ruin a good thing, as the suspension is one of the better aspects of the '05) and a little better sound deadening material added for reduced road noise. For some reason, the '06 drops 11 hp, down to 244 from 255 in the '05.
Too bad it's kinda fugly. I was behind an '06 EX yesterday and it now looks like everything else on the road, even with the LED taillights. I wasn't impressed and it made me glad that I got an '05. Just my persoanl opinion, to each his own...I do wish I had those heated mirrors and shift **** though

where'd you read that? Any other specs leaked on the engineering? Forbes lists the 06 non-hybrid V6 as having 244HP; the hybrid with 253. Same 14kW IMA as the 05 (which ideally turns into 18.7HP), but the measured net HP changed- some tweak to their method of testing (mfgs have some wiggle room in how to measure and state HP)

Re: 05 vs 06?
Sorry for the misinformation Navy, my bad. That HP may be for the non-assisted V6. I do recall seeing a spec somewhere that listed the '06 HAH HP slightly down from 255...may have been 253 or something...because I remember being curious as to why it wasn't excatly the same as the '05.

Re: 05 vs 06?
I THOUGHT there had been a change to the metrics. Thanks.
Are they using measured BHP through actual input shaft to the transmission now? I think the old method was extrapolated off a test stand run?

Re: 05 vs 06?
I agree the back of the 06 is ugly. It looks outdated. The 05 is so much better looking. Take the big discount and run. also I read somewhere that you don't get the same tax break as the 05, but I am not sure
