Default 2005 HAH: 200,000 Miles!!

I thought I'd post a new thread with a picture of my lovely Odometer hitting 200,000 miles heading down I45 south of Dallas yesterday.

Time to start saving for my 2nd Timing Belt change. AFAIK, it's on the original Hybrid Battery pack--last time I had it at the dealer, nothing came up on the car's VIN about a replacement battery.

I usually get between 29 and 30 mpg's on a tank with an occasional 32 or 28 if I get some heavy hwy/city driving.

I bought the car August 15, 2011 with 169,000.

200k in 7 years? Holy crap. And 31k in the last 13 months. And I thought my 21k in the last 12 months was a lot. Do you ever get out of that thing?

Just passed 100k on mine.

I just turned over 51k mi and just replaced the timing belt etc. The tensioner was leaking as well. I'll have 200k mi in another 21 years
but will replace again in 2020!!

I hope to cross this milestone in the next year too. Mine is on 177k miles now and it's 07 model year. Just had spark plugs replaced, valve clearance adjustment done along with whole intake cleaning by my mechanic. Turned out my ignition coils were covered in oil and he replaced them all for a hefty $600. The seals on coils were not good and did not stop oil from getting inside the coil pack. But the main reason for this were spark plug o-ring seals were stiff and allowed an oil to bypass them. My cumulative gas mileage is 30 MPG for the life of the car (I drive mostly on highway).
I know my IMA battery is weak but does not thow any codes. Car does not use IMA assist for acceleration at all. It does use it in cruise but not above 55 MPH and only for a short period time because charge depletes very quickly.

I broke 200,000 miles last month. I commute over 100 miles per day and I am the original owner. Car was purchased in Aug 2005.
I am still on the original IMA battery.
Getting ready for the second replacement timing belt service call.

I have a 2006 Honda Civic with 369,000 km on it, roughly about 229,000 miles. Original battery no signs of battery or charge loss! I didn't expect the battery to last so long considering some of the horror stories out there.

Good messages I getting here. Now I felt better about my 2006 Accord Hybrid...just have my B,1,4 service done which is the timing belt/water pump/tensioner/AC Belt/spark plugs combo. I have written the condtions of the parts already in another thread.

None of these parts other than the plugs are worn out. That shows that the Accord Hybrid will last a very very long time!

My extended warranty is almost over...hope the battery will last as long as 200k that few have claimed here. That means my battery will NOT be replaced when my warranty is up....scary thing but now I am confident! It is before I wished the battery will die now before warranty is over, right?

I had no problems since my purchase when it was 127k kilometers...now just past 160k kilometers (10k miles).

Still a long life to go, right guys?

Fuel economy I am getting 9.5/100kms now in weather between -5 to 7 degrees Celcius driving mostly city avg. speed stop/go a bit at 60km/h.

Summer time with full A/C on same condition, I am getting 8-8.6L/100kms.

But highway only driven...I am getting 6.2L/100kms...that's impressive numbers!

Love my Accord Hybrid so far. Also have a Fusion Hybrid too...but that's a different happily ever after story in the FFH forum!

Both Hybrids are great!!!

Any comments are welcome to continue this chain!
