2014 Accord Hybrid Range

Re: 2014 Accord Hybrid Range
I can now achieve high 40's and even 50 mpg, regardless of outside temp or ac on/off. It only requires driving below 63mph on freeways. Hard to do commuting because everyone is 70+ here in so cal. But it can be done. If I go about 57-60, mid 50 is possible.
Also, with 1/8 th remaining fuel, the car is much lighter and I find the mpg rises.
If you just want to run the ac and drive 70+ with everyone, getting 38-42 is the norm.
Buzzy engine, non seemless engagement. Neat though.

Consistently getting mid to high 40's now that I have reduced freeway speeds from 67+ down to <65. Makes a big difference.
Not loving the active cruise control yet...needs to have a few more "closer" settings.

2014 HAH EX-L we are consistently getting 50 mpg on highway. We drive 100 miles RT for work. On the road to work at 2am and back on the road at 1245pm. Even with cruise control the whole way and still get 50 mpg. :-)

You and I are in the same boat. I have been driving like I had an egg on the accelerator and the most I can get is 40mpg. I think 50 is baloney!! I am on my second tank and the overall is like 39mpg with 80% in town. We do live in a hilly area so there is a climb coming home but its downhill leaving so it should even out?

Re: 2014 Accord Hybrid Range
We just returned from a roundtrip from Harrisburg, PA to St. Louis, down I-70. I was fully prepared to see about 45mpg, exactly what it's supposed to do in high speed driving. However to my pleasant surprise the car gave us 50.3mpg on the way out, and a solid 48.5mpg on the way back. This was with the cruise set at 70mph for most of the trip. I am very pleased, to say the least. Now that I've had the car for more than six months, I can say that this car will save me right around $1,000.00 dollars per year, if gas stays at the present price levels.
I can't say enough about the adaptive cruise control! It's one of those things you might say you'd never pay more for, UNTIL YOU HAVE IT. It makes highway cruising so much more pleasant. I'll have it in every car from now on.

Re: 2014 Accord Hybrid Range
4th tank of gas now...getting 50mpg on this one. Each tank I get 2mpg better, and I am learning to drive it better.
Hard to go 63mph on SoCal freeways esp at night rushour, big rigs pass me.
Some point I'll stop this insanity and go back to getting low 40's driving normally.
Good car, gets good mileage if you drive calm.

Re: 2014 Accord Hybrid Range
After another trip to Whitby and back, I am still getting the same previously reported efficiency with over 5,000 km on the car. The fuel efficiency overall to date in the over 5,000 km is at 5.0 l/100km (about 47mpg).
