Coming around again

Coming around again
Ok, after not rationalizing the purchase of a new 2 me HAH last Feb, and me figuring the car to be sold already, I discover that she still has the 07 for sale. Oddly, it's been for sale since 23k miles and now has 35k-at least a year or more of driving and trying t sell it. It seems to have no defects, some extended warranty of some sort and looks overall clean with nav.
What gives with this girl? She bought it new, never really liked it and now drives a Slow Ugly Vehicle. She's dropped the $$ a bit and I want to offer her 90% of that amount(with me whipping out the cash as I tell her how much).
So I guess my question is should I grab a clean 07 while I still can and dump mu beloved but ancient mark 8's(17-18 city, 25-30+ highway with about the same as HAH perf #'s!)? I do need 4 doors for old folks.

Re: Coming around again
It's personal choice, my friend. You're going to have to figure that out all by yourself.
Of course, she's not that motivated to sell. So don't expect her to budge on her asking price. Like I've told you before, if you like the car, buy it. If not, look for another one. There are several available. Might not be as nice as the one this lady is selling, but you'll probably pay closer to what you're wanting. So you've got to decide, cost or quality? Buy a cheaper HAH? Or a better condition one?

Yeah, well put. Just thumbsucking on my part at a time when I can only sort of afford it. Everyone's got their hand in my pocket now after a good year last year and an Obushma one this year.

Re: Coming around again
INdecisions, looks like I'm going for it. Must be destiny since this car hasn't sold since last year, 14k miles ago. It had a light tap tot he bumper corner so they installed a new rear bumper cover since I last saw it-not too big a deal. Wonder if would show up on a carfax...
Are HAH's hard to sell compared to a HA?

Well, personally I think you will really like the HAH.
Mine is still just like in the Pics here.
I think like 11,000 Miles on it.
Stays in the garage and it is a Very Fast, Fun Car to drive.
The HAH does NOT sell as well as the regular Accord because the buying public really does NOT know anything about the HAH and it's Capabilities.
It has more H/P than the regular Accord and certainly when out on the interstate gets better Fuel Economy.
The (Negative) side for the HAH to the general public is and was and will continue to be the Gas Mileage in the City and Stop & Go Traffic situations.
It gets OK mileage in the City but nothing to Brag-About.
And We All know that the "Majority" of drivers are doing the Jack Rabbit Starts from Every Stop to the very next Stop. Just the way people drive as they are "Always" LATE and in a "Hurry" to make up for the Lack of preplanning on their part. So Floor it on take off and then (Complain) because this 255 H/P HAH does NOT get the Fuel-Mileage of a Honda Civic.
Plus, I think Honda did a Poor Job of Advertising the HAH for it's Positives and Not got hung up on the Hybrid part of the HAH.
Look at the Lexas Hybrids !!!!!!!
Great Mileage in them, Please

Re: Coming around again
So 25mpg in town's not realistic? The V-sux accord can't manage 20-21 I'd guess so it still's got to do better than that and still embarrassing it from a stoplight...
And what does the 30-31 mpg represent on this site MPG postings?

Here are the FACTS !!!!!!!!!!
I just went and checked the actual mileage.
It has 13,528 miles total right now.
I also have taken the time to take these Pics of the Computer for
"History" & "Current" Fuel Mileage.
My wife drives the HAH and this represents the Gas Mileage for her. This
is in the City, some interstate, just all around Mileage.
With the Climate control set on 72-Degrees.
It is and has been in the 90's here and Humid.
Here are Pics of Mileage.
This one is "History".
This one is "Current" tank.
I will say this as I think looking back at some Post that Keith made comments on.
If you want the HAH buy it.
If you cannot (Convince) yourself to buy it then it is the (WRONG) car for You ........
Last comment:
If you are buying a 255 H/P HAH for Great City Mileage ???
Then I think I should add this Comment.
You are going to be Very Disappointed In My Honest Opinion.
It will do okay but it is NOT a Little Honda Civic with a 4-Cylinder engine.
Your Expectations are I think going to be "Smashed" into
Reality of owning a High-Performance Full Size Luxury Hybrid Car.
If you are NOT willing to drive the HAH like your right foot is sitting on an "Egg-Shell" on top of the Gas Pedal.
In City, heavy Stop & Go Traffic, you are going to be "DISAPPOINTED" !!!
Forget the real High Mileage you see Posted for City Driving. That is NOT the Norm I promise you.
If you want a Great, Fast, Full Size Fun Driving Hybrid then get the HAH.
Once again, if you are getting it for in the City Great-Mileage, WRONG-DECISION & You will be "DISAPPOINTED" !!!!!!!!
Good-Luck .........
I cannot think of anything else to say to you regarding the HAH.
Buy it and Appreciate it for it's Strength's, Not City Mileage !!!
Terry
Jeff,
I drive a 2008 Bullitt Mustang.
So, I am into Performance Cars and that is why I purchased the HAH originally. It was my car then until I bought this New Bullitt Mustang.

Re: Coming around again
NIce BUllitt-bet that does great around town...!
I have 2 Mark 8s. 17-18 in town going easy and 35-30 on the flat open road with about the same zip as a HAH. I was hoping for better city mpgs but sitting NY traffic, I love the shut down feature-all cars should have that. When we get to FL, soon I hope, the mpgs will appreciate more with more non stop driving.
And I am looking at the HAH since it's not a wheezy Prius or the like and can be made fun to run with minimal mods.
What does a HA get around town, 21-22?

Here is a Thread I did when I purchased the HAH ........

Here is a Link to my Pics if you click on an image you will see Gas Mileage
when I drove the HAH all the time.

Now your dealing with Real World Numbers for City ........
Especially if you get on it any from Stops.
On the interstate it gets at 75-80 MPH like as I recall 34-37 MPG.
Plus this bad boy will get you out of Harms Way if necessary
The Bullitt is Baddddddddddd
It is Not a Stock Mustang and soon to be Plus 500 HP by the end of this Month !!!!!
