/exit and chat room?

Hi,

I popped into the chatroom and decided to leave. I entered "/exit" and as expected the chat web page went away. Then I noticed the main pages still show me in the chatroom.

Is there something else I need to do?

Thanks,
Bob Wiilson

The chatroom is slightly buggy in that respect. It think once you start browsing around it'll fix that.

IRC has a bad reputation and many firewalls block it.

well i was thinking more at home use. Don't think you should be chatting at work anyways ;)

I"ve been using IRC as my own personal way to communicate with friends and it beats any type of instant messaging type of client out there. Espically when your pals are close and you'd want to keep up to date on what's going on with everybody's lives.

You can't do that with MSN or any IM simply because one person has to always make that first move when it comes to communication. IRC its always global so it encourages conversation as well everyone can have their own setinfos, topics or the like.

If the built in chat has a history, then it would be fine. But only 10 to 20 lines is simply garbage! What happened if I missed an awesome hypermiling convo ;O
