If you think my subject line is confusing wait till you read my question.
THis may seem obvious or not. Is there any way when reading a post to have the thread starter first? I tried messing with the asending order and post starter order and thoght I got it right, but when exit out of the site it defaults back to the latest poster. Why is this important? most of the fourms I'm a member to order the threads with the thread starter first and the replies follow after that. Flame away as long as I get my way!

Bill,

Thread posts by default are sorted old to new. The first post of the thread is the thread starter with successive posts following. After 10 or so posts, they flow onto new pages.

Thanks Jason. Based on what you just typed. Your reply shows up above my initial thread start. I'm used to seeing the oldest post on top and flows downward.
No problem. I have to get use to the way it displays.

Bill,

By default your initial thread starter SHOULD be on top. If it isn't, you must have changed something in your settings.

I found it under my profile settings where newset was set and not the oldest.
Don't know how that happened, but it was all me. +1 for the noob.
