Learn Section

Since the 3.0.7 forum software upgrade, I have been unable to figure out why the attachments and ratings systems have stopped working in the Learn section. Because of this and the fact that there is bigger, better software available for the articles area, I think I will go ahead and install this system instead. So, if you see some funny things going on over there, that's what this is about.

Nosey people may preview the [second] new articles system at https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/articles.php

I'm currently setting it up. Then, I'll enable access from /learn/. Finally, I'll reskin it blue.

Okay, well, it's taken close to 4 hours to install the article software. Finally, I'm done! Done with the installation, at least. Later tonight or tomorrow I will re-publish the articles. So far I've only done one, Hybrid Basics. Then I'll re-implement the automatic links in the Discuss section (that point to related articles). Finally, I'll re-skin the Learn section.

Whew! I hope this is worth it...

I must like taking to myself ;) Everything's now completed with the Learn section. Please let me know if you encounter any problems.

Hey Jason, I'm listenin'. :) Thanks for the hard work on the new learn section. I like the interactive part of it.

Haha, good. Looks like I have 1 bug left to fix: the server isn't recognizing the modified URLs for pages, so only the first page of each article can be shown. Oops!

It's amazing what sleep will do for you. I spent an hour last night trying to figure this out and couldn't. I spent 15 minutes this morning looking at it again, and found the problem! It was a cheap problem, too... bugs are usually caused by cheap problems: I just had some code in the wrong order! Right code, wrong order. Ugh!
