Why not allow JPGs?

Default Why not allow JPGs?

Most forums allow JPG attachments, here, only PDFs.
Any reason for that?

Might be for copyright reasons. The website doesn't want that kind of liability should an image be copyrighted. At least in PDF form it isn't easily viewed by the general public.

Also JPGs can be pretty large in size.. I'm sure available bandwidth has a lot to do with it as well.

JPG's can still be shared though.. just find a server for the images (such as photobucket) and you can insert images in your posts that way.

Actually, we'd like you to upload all photos into the Share section. You can then use the provided code to slip the image right into your posts here!
