CNN's Negative Prius Comments (Again...)
CNN just "reported" about the Prius shutdown issue that we've talked about in the Hybrid News forum. Not only did they show the first-generation Prius, but they said, "There is not any official recall and there is not yet plans for a government investigation." Uh, government investigation? This is rediculous.

Yes, that qualifies as negative publicity for sure, and CNN has a pretty large audience. That's a shame.
Did they AT LEAST mention that the whole thing is based on ONLY 11 complaints?

To their credit, CNN reported less pickup truck drivers buckle-up than car drivers. Also made several stories that the roll-over hazard is greater.
Something about human nature that overreacts to anything new, but is comfortable with the Devil we know....

I Googled Prius, and there are a number of news reports, upping the complaint count to 13. Something tells me this will get more attention than the report that rural cell phone use is more likely to cause cancer, or that 3000 US car fatalities annually to cell phone use....
