Default 2010 Camry Hybrid

Does anyone know if the 2010 TCH has reached dealer in the US yet?

Unhappy Re: 2010 Camry Hybrid

Is anything really new on the 2010 other than the grill, fog lights, and radio? I'm stoked about fog lights, but was really hoping for some LED headlights to cut down on power usage/increase battery life. Seems odd the lower priced Prius gets all the goodies but the Camry gets hand me downs. I guess that is because the Prius is the their #1 seller.

I'm holding out to see what updates and accessory options will be on the 2011 TCH. Who knows, someday maybe they will prefect the Lithium Hybrid batteries.

I have seen a 2010 Camry but unfortunately it was not a Hybrid..

LED Headlights - I know you can get them in Europe (or so I've been told) but has there been any case of the US D.O.T. passing them for use here?

Saw one on the road here(Honolulu) the other week. Dealer plates, distinctive tail lights. We get our hybrids from Japan.

I am very ready to replace my 07 TCH with 60,000 miles. I have been told, that due to very large inventory of '09s, the 2010 TCH will not be released by the region (AZ) until that inventory is reduced. The regular 2010 Camrys are on the lots here. There may be some fleet buyers that can get the 2010 TCH by special order, but not us regular buyers. The '09 are selling for invoice minus $1500 rebate, as of last night, 7/6. New incentives get announced today. I would rather get the 2010, due to the changes, fog lights, better NAV(?), new alloy wheels, and the updated look of the front. But the lower price may make me settle for the '09.

Can anyone here report that their dealers have the 2010 available for sale? I just might make a trip if that is the case. Or not...hard to wait and pass up the great deal I have been offered now on '09 loaded. And I don't even know when the 2010 will be available....sigh

Comments? Suggestions? I've looked at the Fitzmall site, and see no 2010s there either. But that would be a realy long trip from AZ!

Added....what would be the difference in my overall cost if I replace thet new car at 3 years from today? Will I be ahead paying less for a heavly discounted '09 now or the 2010 without the presumed $1500 rebate on the 09? For conversation, lets say the '09 will cost me $2,000 less than the 2010.

Thanks for all comments, as I may pull the triger today and would like all input.

I don't know if you want to make a trip to Southern California, but if that is something you would entertain, you can contact Tina Frodge of South Bay Toyota regarding getting a 2010 TCH. Her phone number is 310-817-7102. I used her for my last 3 Toyota purchases. She says she has two 2010 available for purchase. Both are fully loaded.

Well, just an update for those who are interested, (thanks Dave)... I bought the loaded '09 (magnetic grey) here in Tucson. Besides paying less than invoice PLUS getting the $1,500 rebate, I also saved the sales tax on the amount of the trade (about $1,377 in taxes saved), which would not have been the case if I went to CA to get the car. They also gave me what I considered to be a very good amount for my loaded '07 with 59,000 miles...$17,000. KBB says in good condition it is worth $15,825 as a trade in, and I had some unfortunate parking lot dings... It's hard to say what the final deal would have been on the '10 in CA, but I am very satisfied that I got a good deal on a fabulous car, and that's what its all about, right?

I realy wanted the updated vehicle, but realized that the changes were mostly cosmetic, afterall. My plan is to drive the 09 TCH for about 6 months, then my wife will start driving it daily, at which point I will be deciding on a new crossover as we replace her '05 Highlander. And she couldn't care less what alloy wheels it has, or if it has fog lights or not...
