Re: 5W-20 or 0W-20???
At a higher price. Some people here have had good luck -- others not so. I know my dealership charges a quite a bit more for the synthetic oils. Honestly, in general, the dealerships charge a lot more for oil changes unless you can get a coupon. Last I say, the coupon would get you regular oil and filter for 25 +tax. The normal is a bit higher and synth is even more so.

Wow, $42 is a great deal for a Synthetic Oil Change.

Re: 5W-20 or 0W-20???
A toyota tech said it's best I use the 0W-20 full synthetic at my first oil change. I picked up 1 mpg by doing so. He also said with the engine kicking off and on that the thin oil would get up into the valvetrain faster. I bought the 0W oil from my local toyota dealer. I change my own oil and filter. Warning the filter from the factory is really tough to get off. I hand tightened the new one. It came with a clear plastic pull off over the filter seal. The lubricant is there so the seal won't pinch when tightening.
You can buy other brands of synthetic oil. Another really good oil filter is made by Purolator. I understand they also manufacture the OEM Toyota filter.

Re: 5W-20 or 0W-20???
When i had my oil changed at 5,000mi, i asked the dealer about the 0W-20 oil and he told me they would check and install it if they did. They only stocked the 5W-20 and that is what they used. I am going to ask again at the next oil change to see if they can get the 0W-20.

You would think a toyota dealer would stock the 0W oil. I read somewhere it was a oil designed for the hybrids. My guess is it will become more popular in 2009/10 when more hybrid cars are on the road.

They had 0w-20 synthetic in stock. I think it was about $59 for the oil and filter change and a free lunch

0W20 or 5W20 Clearance at Advanced Auto Parts .95 cents a quart
Just to pass on that Advance Auto Parts has the QuakerState Q-Torque Full Synthetic 5W20 clearanced for .95 cents a quart (reg 5.95). Also...to help you not run all over town looking for it, just go to one store that is closest to you and make a store to store transfer. I was able to get my lifetime supply of oil in about 30 minutes. Takes about a week to get your oil from another store but they canl collect at one location and call you up. Don't be suprised if your local store it out...just hand them a copy of all the stores in your area (telephone numbers) and let them check in their system for store quantity. They can call over and have them do store transfer.

Be careful when you go into the dealer for an oil change. Twice when asked what oil they would put in the said 10w 30. I had to explain to them the recommended oil was 0w-20 or 5w-20.
They had 0w-20 synthetic in stock. I think it was about $59 for the oil and filter change and a free lunch
