Default Anyone seen/applied body side molding?

Has anyone seen or applied the accessory body side molding to the '07 Camry? I know it's available, but I'd like to check it out before buying. Mine's a Magnetic Grey TCH.

Thanks,

GH

One of the posters here has put 5 pics in the share photo section with the body side molding.

I did not like the look of the unbroken lines of the high doors. They looked too high to me. So, I applied the molding that I purchased from Toyota Parts Store. The color was a perfect match. Looks great on the car. A word of advice. Follow the directions to the letter. The only exception is that they call for a 3M product that is not readily available to wipe down the car. I substituted with 3M "Adhesive, Wax & Mark Remover." Worked like a charm.

Was it hard to get them straight?

I'm the one who posted the pix of the white ones.

We've had them for a couple of weeks and like them. In addition to a bit of protection, they add a bit of a line to the car.

I bought them over the web (I assume that several of the parts sites have them). http://www.toyotapartsdelivered.com/...t.cfm?design=9 . The regular 07 Camry ones are the same as the hybrid.

There is a template carfully hidden in the box. You use tape, I used painters edging tape, to mark the height from landmarks at the front and the back of the car. You then run another horizontal run of tape between the landmarks to act as a straight edge. You the apply the edging. It is just very high powered, automotive grade, double faced tape.

NOTE: The edge guards do not go in a line that is straight with the bottom of the doors. Follow the template instructions for measuring and you will do fine!
