12 left from this guy... $16 each. The next cheapest that I've found them was a dealer in Texas that wanted $54 each.

I must be really out of touch, but since the car comes with the emblem already, why would someone want another one?
Do they wear out or naturally fall off?
Do kids steal them and wear them around their neck (like they do with Mercedes hood ornaments)?
Is there another place on the car where one would place them...on the door? on the hood?
Is this for the de-badgers who want to re-badge?
Do people want to put them on gas cars just to 'mess with people's minds'?

 

My badges were stolen about a week ago. I'm going to replace them with the smaller "HSD" badges.

Several of the larger shopping malls in my area have "Hybrid Parking" and "Family Parking". They are prime shaded locations. So, I expect that Hybrid Badges go missing quite a bit around me.

 

Wow...I never knew!

 

What is next? unbelievable. stealing hybrid symbols. the humanity!

 

 

Wow Southern California has really embraced the whole conservationist thing. Here in the East Coast, I have seen no such preferential treatment.

So I admit, I was interested to see what the incentives were for my wonderful home state of MI now that I have a Hybrid. After reading this I couldn't help but laugh a little bit to myself at the poor choice of wording...enjoy:

Michigan

The City of Ferndale allows FREE parking at city meters for drivers of hybrids and other vehicles that average 30 miles per gallon or more in city driving. Owners of eligible automobiles must register and PAY AN ANNUAL FEE in order to get a permit for the exemption. To find out if your car qualifies, call the City Assessor

Not sure about that. The parking is free. The permit, however, will cost you, but then again, so will the car as well as the gas it takes to get to said parking facility.
