My new - used 07 TCH for $14,988!!!!!
I just traded my 04 Durango Limited Hemi 4X4 in for a blue 07 TCH with 42,000 miles for $14,988! I bought it from Walker Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler in Ohio. The only options on the window sticker were floor/trunk mat set, and heated mirrors. ALTHOUGH, the first owner installed a very light, almost white leather in the car, with door inserts, along with a woodgrain kit. It would have been nice to have factory leather, sunroof, and navi - but for $14,988 - what more could I ask for!!!? I need to get the steering rack recall completed though. There is a bit of squeaking, moan-ish noise from the inside steering wheel colum when turning at low speeds - hopefully it will be fixed when the do the recall? Other than that - my wife and I have really enjoyed the first few hundred miles of many, many more hundreds to come (I will be driving a little over 24,000 miles a year in flat, boring, central Illinois). Look foreword to picking up tips and advice from the forum. Thanks!

Wow, Durango to TCH. Great move! You won't be disappointed (certainly FE-wise). Almost white leather seems kind of strange, can you post some pictures? Is it like a cream? I chose to install leather that Katzkin called "sand," a pretty close match for the factory color in the cabin, it's pretty light, but not almost white!

I will hopefully post pics soon. I just spent the evening taking the center floor console apart so that I could get rid of all of the previous owner's leftovers It wasn't horrible, but I wanted a nice, clean, car - still lots more to detail on the inside though.
The leather that the previous owner had installed was called Katzkin - I have the paperwork, but I haven't found the color on anything. It is not gray or tan, it really is close to white, with a hint toward cream. Interesting choice.

That sounds like a pretty good deal on the TCH. What kinda of trade-in value did you get for your Durango? More-or-less, were you able to deal at both ends, trade-in and purchase?

Well, KBB says that the 07 Camry Hybrid with 43,000 miles is worth $15,775 for Good condition trade - $13,975 for fair - and $16,775 for excellent(leather, bluetooth, stability control, traction control, and alloy wheels). I bought it for $14,988.
04 Durango 4X4 Limited with Hemi with 43,000 miles is worth $12,375 in Good contition trade - $11,450 for fair - and $12,925 for excellent (rear air, DVD, traction, leather, power seats, third seat, moonroof, running boards, towing package, premium wheels, MP3 Multi CD). I traded it for $10,943.50.
So I bought the Camry for about $800 less than good TRADE value and traded the Durango for about $1,400 less than good trade in, but we all know that we are lucky to get fair value when you trade in (which is close to what I got). So the way I look at it, I basically traded for trade value for the Durango, and bought the Camry for trade value AT A DEALER! They did charge me a $250 doc fee though. I feel like I got a good deal - especailly for a TCH!
What do you guys think?
