I was flipping channels the other night and saw this short clip from Clark Howard on the TV. I could not find the video clip, but his text on this web page covers what he said.

Wait till maybe November or December to try to buy. You wait that long, might be worth waiting to see the new mpg numbers and improvements on the upcoming new regular Prius.

Update: I found some Prius release dates. I read that these new Prius models may use the new lithium-ion batteries. I don't know if that includes all Prius models or not.

Regular Prius - Jan 1st though Jan 12th.

Plug-In Prius - during the month of February.

C-version Prius - (the smaller version of the Prius) - during the Spring of 2012

Prius V (the new wagon version) release should be this November.

I'm so used to my '07 TCH I doubt I could switch even if I wanted too. I'm looking forward to seeing and hopefully test driving the new Camry during late October.
