Yes it is. I think that Tire segment was from the ABC show 20/20. How many of us would think when we buy new tires they may have had a long shelf life. I now wonder how long some tires sit in a warehouse for years before they are shipped to Sears or some independent Tire Shops.

 

I checked my Wife's 2007 Avalon and her tires were made in January 2007.

I then checked my 2009 TCH and found the tires were made on May 2007, 4 months older than our Avalon.

It might be a good idea to check the tires born on date even when buying a new car.

 

I assume you meant 4 months newer...
