a long while.
They've had HDD navs for a while. HDD is just showing up on our shores now.
They have nav systems that integrated SMS, e-mail, and other telematics (Toyota calls it G-BOOK) as well as navigation systems that show parking spaces in multi-storey carparks. We've yet to receive that.

Or get yourself an aftermarket unit =P. I have mine to automatically re-route if there's traffic and an alternate route is faster than waiting in traffic. Again, it only works in the States for now. In Canada, I get road conditions.

Looks like our Camry unit, until you look closer and realize it's got a USB jack, SD slot, games (games!!!?), etc.
Oddly, the picture of the map is America, but assume this was never intended for the North American market.
