Toyota has new Hybrid web site for all Toyota hybrids

Re: Toyota has new Hybrid web site for all Toyota hybrids
I agree... The web page is very difficult to read due to the small black subscreens and the small dark test.. (Who's idea was that?).
This may be why there are only 7 registered users on the site. I won't bother with it. The FLASH web pages are just inadequate.
C'mon Toyota.. Re-do this and we might participate.. Take GreenHybrid for an example of a successful forum page !.

I navigated through it and went through all the questions. I find most of their websites I have not enjoyed; too much fancy stuff (Camry experience - driving the car around the window) and not enough substance.

When I opened the web site, I heard a strange "sucking" sound. Oh wait, I had my speakers on mute. Must have been an auditory hullicination based on visual input.

I just joined it and am completely unenthused. It's just a very slow clunky bulky flash sight that makes you sign up and submit your reason for buying. After you sign up, you can view other people's reasons for buying.
If I am not mistaken, _that's all you can do at the sight!_

I also joined, just to see if there is any benefit that I can't find here or other focused sites. Nope.
But it also struck me that Toyota may be co-opting the HSD community to contribute to their marketing of the technology to would-be buyers. If you look at the site from the point of view of someone looking at the HSD technology for the first time, there is a lot of eye-candy, links to other Toyota sites for marketing, and of course all those floating "reasons" that WE provided.
The only thing worse than not getting anything for your effort is having it used to make money for someone else!!
OK, I feel better now...
