Will battery issues call up the yellow warning light?
My Camry Hybrid is almost 11 years old. Not having any problems, but I was wondering if any of the cells of the battery were to have issues if that event be shown on the yellow light on the dashboard.
If not, how would I know if there was an issue?
Thanks!

"Check hybrid system" will appear along with triangle master warning light. There will be no doubt that your car has a problem.
You will get P0A80 and/or P0A7F and/or P30XX.

Any word on the average life expectancy of these batteries? Years ago, I saw stories of Prius cabs that were still cruising >200,000 miles.
Generally speaking, is there any guesstimate of how many miles these batteries can last?

I haven't dealt with many Camrys, but they have all failed between 124 and 170K miles here in AZ. By the time they fail, they are destroyed. The batteries can't be repaired or reconditioned. They must be replaced. Your experience in NJ will probably be more favorable on average.
