Check Engine Light: P0138HO2S-12 (Bank 1 Sensor 2) Circuit High Input
I have had issues with my O2 sensors for a while. I'd really like to get the check engine light to go off and stay off.
In June of 2010 I had Code P0141 and replaced all three oxygen sensors as suggested by the dealer (83k miles). Now I have code P0138. I was recently at the dealer and had the ECM software updated and all recalls addressed. I didn't pay the $83 for them to read the diagnostic code. Today I replaced the second o2 sensor (accessible from engine compartment, the one closer to the ground with the orange wire sheath) with the one I pulled two years ago. #1) did I switch the right oxygen sensor? #2) is this a faulty O2 sensor problem or something else? Is there any other diagnostic I can run myself before going back to the dealer? Thanks, Tim |
