TPMS- do I have it? 2004 HCH
The tire shop isn't wanting to replace my Civic 2004 tires because it might have TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) sensors in the rims and he doesn't want to risk damaging them. There's no light on the dash and there was no alarm when I got a flat so I'd say no, but he's not convinced. How can I tell for sure and convince him of that?

There is no TPMS on the 2004 HCH.
Not sure how to prove that other than if he makes a call to a Honda service department to ask, read through the owners manual, or look on a Honda parts website like Bernardi or Majestic and take a look at the diagrams provided.
My tire place has never had an issue, and I have my snow tires and all-season tires swapped twice a year.

Not a peep of it in the manual, but it's impossible to prove the non-existence of it in the manual. I did do a search for tpms sensor for that model and didn't show up any replacement parts, but some sites listed a generic replacement for it.
I wouldn't bother but even though it lacks modern gadgets to replace the tpms tires, it has a great reputation as an old school shop with great prices.
