Thumbs up Re: 17inch rims on an HCHII?

The rims and that lip kit you've installed look great.

my FE is about 37 mpg, but it could be better if i was a hypermiler. i do drive steady, but not as slow as i probably should, plus i have a really short commute which i don't think helps my FE. i do keep my tires at about 38 psi, which does help, but all the extra weight from the steel wheels and the added traction of the wider/non-LRR tires hurts things.

the under body spoliers are a dealer installed option for the standard Civic Sedan, and since the Galaxy Grey color also comes on the standard Civics it worked out really well.

I installed the rims from an Acura CSX on my HCHII just yesterday. I'll post some pics later when I get my Honda center caps in.The CSX rims are also aluminum alloy but I got them with some new Goodyear tires pre-installed. The tires are not LRR and since they are new they are still "sticky". On my usual hilly commute to work I get about 50mpg and today on my first trip with the new wheels + tires I got 48.5mpg. It was a short commute (~15km) so the drop may be due to me hitting more red lights or something and not entirely due to the rims + tires so I'm very happy with my new rims .

I thought that was an aftermarket lip kit, many people have installed the HFP lip kit on their normal civics so thats what I assumed it was. My car is that bluish-grey metallic colour that you can't get on the normal civic so that upgrade wasn't an option for me or else I would have taken it.

very cool. i need to be somewhat different, so i had to convince the dealer that it would work even though it wasn't an available option for the hybrid.

To those who have upgraded to 16" EX rims... still happy? Any more input on mileage losses (or gains) due to rim swap?

Thanks.
