Default Battery starting to go?

All,
I have an 07 hybrid and the battery is starting to do SOC daily recals (recalls?). Is this a failing battery in everyone's experience?

Thanks.

Have you had the recalls performed on your IMA? If not it would probably help with the recal situation? It manages the SOC much better. H

Well I took it to the dealer and they installed a new software update on it. I wasn't aware there was another one since "the" hated update.
It didn't have an SOC recal for 2 days, but did once this morning. I'm going to continue to monitor it.

It will help, but the pack may be on its way out like many HCH2's. If you only have recal's on occasion then a person can deal with it. The odd recal is not a big issue, I think. I don't think my car has ever had one? Touch wood! H

I wonder if that's the same update I got in December. They said I was missing one. Still getting recals though

Recals indicate a battery problem almost certainly. Once I replaced my 'recal' battery, I have not had a single re-cal in months!! Not once, and I've gone through every type of temperature and weather and driving conditions, city/highway/stop and go.

We have to be careful to differentiate recals from normal battery SOC depletion. If I am constantly loading the pack, I see it drop down to 2, but then instead of forced regen to full it climbs to 4 bars and then allows some assist and autostop. While in recal, it drops, then will not let you use Assists or autostop until it 's all the way to full. I think one is a problem, the other one may be normal operation

I had re-cals - drop from 4 bars, then no assist until it charged back up. i was up to 3-4 a day on a 60mi round trip commute. Now i get none!
