Bridgestone Ecopia EP20 = Bridgestone Insignia SE200?
First off, this is not really HCHII specific, so moderator, feel free to move it to more appropriate forum.
Just reading up on the the Bridgestone Ecopia. The typical suffix is EP100, but I see mention of EP20, an OEM, all season alternative to the EP100, which is rated summer-only.
This jogs my memory: I saw a 2010 Prius on display at Vancouver's (BC, Canada) Pacific National Exhibition, and it had these EP20's. At the time I focused on the designation, and didn't really look at the tread.
So I looked up both the EP20 and EP100 at Tirerack to compare: the EP20 is listed in one size only: 195/65-R15 (HCHII size), compared to multiple sizes for the EP100.
Something else caught my eye: the tread pattern of the EP20 (al-season version of the Ecopia) looks identical to the Insignia SE200 (one of Honda's OEM tire choices for the HCHII), fwiw.
I wonder how RR would compare for these 2 Ecopia's. I'd suspect the all-season rated EP20 would not be as good as the summer-only EP100, but by what factor? Maybe it is just a re-badged SE200, with comparitive RR, ie: fairly good?
