Firewall access for 12 batt access?

Firewall access for 12 batt access?
I would like to install my compact amp/subwoofer (Kenwood WOOX) in my new HCH II. I need to get access through the firewall to the 12v battery for a power source. I do not see an obvious (or easy) access, and would prefer not to cut into the harnesses that do pass through.
Any suggestions, or has anyone done this already?

Re: Firewall access for 12 batt access?
I suggest you use the live 12V rail on the fuse panel.
You should have quite a few empty fuse sockets that will give you power without the need to snake through the firewall. Just make sure you amp is fused so as to keep things safe.

If you're using the stock fuse block, do you need to order the proper termination connector to use the stock fuse?

OE: I have two questions.
1. Where do you get those add-a-fuse things? I just have a wire going into the fuse box and an inline fuse later on.
3. What are all of those fuse taps for. (I'm trying to think of the mods you've done... maybe one is for the backup sensors?)

Add a Circuit
The Add a Circuit inline fuseholders are available at most auto parts stores.
The circuits that I have added to my HCHII are:
1. An ambient LED light to illuminate the center console. This is connected to the low-beam lighting circuit so it comes on only when the headlights are on.
2. An unswitched circuit for the illuminated door scuff plates
3. A switched circuit for the backup sensors
