That sounds simple enough.
I understand the importance of cooling and will definitely do that on the bench. If I do attempt in car charging, I understand I will need to short the PWM wire (light blue) to negative (black) in the IMA fan harness and of course supply it with 12 volts. Can you confirm that?
I'm waiting for this hot weather to cool off though before I do anything further.

Yes. 12V/10A

If you pull the pack and bring it inside, temps are a non-issue.
