Today's Mod

Re: Today's Mod
Thanks, Gary.
I feared removing the rear seat bottom would be necessary to do this right. It sounds like that isn't so difficult, either.
Now for the deciding factor - does my wife like 'em

Re: Today's Mod
Okay... I've decided to give the lighted ones a try! I went the $5 cheaper way... using the bid instead of the "buy it now" option for an auction which ends on the 7th. Please don't outbid me!

Yea!!! I won! Got the door sill plates at $5 off. Hopefully they'll arrive in a week and I can start drilling holes in my car... YIKES! What did it just get myself into?!!!

Re: Today's Mod
Let us know how it goes! Blue is my favorite color, and I figure that the blue lighted scuff plates would go nicely with the blue displays and the magnetic pearl color of my car. I may not be able to do it at all though because my loan contract says no mods. I will have to reread it to see if this would count as a "mod" or not.

Re: Today's Mod
From Gary's photos it appears the blue is a little lighter than that from the dash lighting... but it's close enough! My XM Roady is also off a little, too.
If you want something to contrast, the seller also has red lighting in the same style. Might look good on a red HCHII... oh yeah, they don't offer the red on the hybrid (darn it! I love the red Civic color!). Maybe someday Honda will add more colors to the hybrid line!
