Arrow For sale 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid, 1 owner, metro Detroit Michigan

This is a 1 owner car that we purchased brand new from Fisher Honda in Ypsilanti MI. We have all 3 of the keys, owners manuals, Monroney sticker, all maintenance info/receipts, set of seat covers that have never been put on or used, and a Honda service manual that has hardly been used because this car has been the most reliable car either of us has ever owned.

We are looking to get $5,100.00 for the car. The title is clear and in hand. Hybrids hold their value and are priced higher than KBB.

*The Good*
Maintained by Sprocket and Honda dealerships

The car runs & drives good. There is nothing mechanical wrong with the car. Like I mentioned earlier, this has been the most reliable vehicle we have owned. The only repair to it has been the cable to open the fuel door stretched and ended up being inoperable. Honda replaced it at no charge.

Mobil 1 0W20 oil used at every oil change w/Bosch oil filter 7500-10k miles based on Blackstone oil reports. 7500 miles yields the best oil reports and that's what I've been sticking with for the last 50k miles. The car has a fumoto oil drain valve installed which makes oil changes even quicker.

CVT fluid changes every 30k-40k miles. I go a step further and drop the transmission pan, clean everything out of the bottom of the pan, remove and clean all accessible magnets, and refill with genuine Honda CVT fluid. Every other fluid change, I change the trans filter/screen. This was just done again at 215k miles so you don't need to worry about it anytime soon.

Maintenance has been followed by the book except for the oil changes being a little more frequent based on the oil reports. Honda states 10k mile oil changes, I do it every 7500 miles.

Spark plugs (all 8) were recently replaced at 206k miles with Denso Iridium long life plugs. Honda recommends replacement at 110k miles along with a valve lash adjustment. I had the local Honda dealer do the valve lash adjustment at approx 208k miles.

The interior of the car is spotless! The back seat has had people on it very few times. There is one exception for the passenger front seat which had some Ti food spilled on it. The seat has been cleaned twice now to remove the stain as best as possible, but it is still slightly visible.

All electronics, door locks, windows, and options work as they should. Everything is functional as it should be.

*Things that will need to be addressed soon*
3 out of the 4 tires will need to be replaced sometime soon. The original tires were replaced at roughly 109K miles, so the current tires have 106k miles on them. Good tires & brakes on this car last a very long time...bonus!

*The not so good*
There are a few door dings on the car. I've taken pictures of everything so there is full disclosure.

Paint chips on the hood and front bumper. When you have this many miles on a car this should also be expected.

Driver's side rear panel and part of bumper have scratches from brushing up against something. We did have a body shop touch up the areas with paint to eliminate any corrosion issues.

The rear bumper has a small gauge in it from the car not being pulled all the way into the garage and the garage door hitting it. It's plastic so no worry about it rusting. See picture

Driver's side front air vent louvers are stuck. This should be an easy fix to just replace the vent itself.

Driver's side vanity mirror plastic cover is broken and removed. This should also be an easy fix. I'll check around and see if I can source a visor from somewhere.

*Miscellaneous*

The car was driven 95% on the highway as my wife works approx 45 miles away from home. Being it's a hybrid, you will see better mileage if your commute is more city driving. Here is a link to Fuelly for this vehicle. We've only tracked about 44k miles and the average has been around 42 MPG on regular octane gasoline. It's a pretty inexpensive car to drive.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something and will add more info as I think of it. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns and I will do my best to answer them.

Pic’s will be posted below in the next couple of posts.

Thanks for looking,

Updated price to $5,100.00. Car was off the market for a couple of months as a family member wanted it but they decided to go with a minivan instead.
