Default VA Hybrid exemption extended...

This may be old news to some, but those of us in VA with the original plates purchased before 1 June of last year had our HOV privelidge extended until at least 1 July 2008. There was talk that they were going to kill this because of the congestion in the HOV lanes.

Only for 267 and 66. I think it's also only for the old plates, with the icon on the left.

I have the legacy plates so the status quo remains for at least another year. We knew last year when they switched plate style that there was no hope for SOV HOV on I-95 after the 1 June 06 deadline.

Actually, it has been renewed for 95/395 for Hybrids registered prior to June of 06.

Kind of a bonus for early adopters of technology.

I think you meant to say "...occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes until June 30, 2011...

And just curious - your location reads UK. Why would someone from the UK know so much about local Virginia (actually only Northern VA) policies?
