New hybrid battery installed
 

I had the dealer install a new hybrid battery yesterday. battery cost $2500 labor $400 . i bought the car 2009 escalade with 150000 miles and it had all the hybrid battery related problems a week after i got it . the surging the power steering not working causing the truck to shut off struggling to go into auto stop a/c not blowing cold enough wont stay in auto stop and the check engine light . replaced the battery and it all went away its like i have a new truck again the car is now a joy to drive , and i can run on electric to 30mph if i take it easy . So for all those who are having these issues get the new battery its worth it

That's great news.


I wish Toyota and everybody else that uses the Toyota battery guts was so reasonable about a new battery as GM.


The Escalade battery is basically the same guts as a 40 module Lexus GS450h. I think Lexus charges about $6000.


The 34 module Camry battery costs about $5000


The 34 module Nissan Altima battery costs $6000


The 28 module Prius battery is $3000
