Engine stalling while driving?
 

My Mazda Tribute Hybrid 2009 (same as Ford Escape just w/ different outer) has been randomly shutting down while I'm driving. Not switching from the engine to electric power, but completely shutting off. It's pretty scary since it causes loss of all power brakes and steering. When I try to start it back up, it turns right back on, no problem. I took it in to my dealership and they have had a heck of a time diagnosing the problem because they can't seem to replicate it. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any advice? Thanks!

Have they checked all the grounds and the connectors at the battery terminal?

Curiously, you take your Tribute to a big Ford dealer that has hybrid trained mechanics? I'm thinking if your mechanic is not very familiar with Ford hybrids like the Escape they may have difficulty diagnosing your MTH.
