Re: 08 Tahoe high oil pressure
Evois thanks for the reply "quick as a breeze" LOL going to take 4 hours and cost 600.00 for a 75.00 part over 500 just for labor. Hybrids are a bad idea.
Thanks all for your help tho made this a bit easier

Re: 08 Tahoe high oil pressure
$600 bucks for an oil pressure sender unit?
It is kind of hard to get at and exactly the same on a non hybrid. It's at the back of the engine on the driver's side. It is a screw in part. The huge intake manifold makes it hard to see and get at. But I would do it in my shop at home for less than $100 labor.

Re: 08 Tahoe high oil pressure
I'm in South East Michigan and that price is what I would charge as a side job to do it. It would probably take me a little over 2 hours.
Attached picture of the engine with the intake manifold off. Evois has the drawing as shown from the driver's side rear.
I'm betting a special 3/8 socket would just unscrew it. The problem is geting at it without removing the intake.
