2008 Tahoe hybrid issues
When I first start my Tahoe it will not move until it idles for about a minute. If I try to take off it jumps and stops. I also have a n issue in reverse. When backing up a incline it will stall. I have no issues on level ground. Any ideas?

Re: 2008 Tahoe hybrid issues
How many miles are on it and does it have the original (or a reconditioned) hybrid battery pack in it? Are you getting any codes?
I just changed the original hybrid battery pack on my 09 with + 200k miles. I have the old pack on my workbench and I am currently testing the individual modules. So far with 22 out of 40 total modules checked it is showing 25% of original capacity. I could imagine that with a bit more degradation and possibly the loss of a module cell that I would have been seeing some major drive-ability issues myself. Mine was actually driving very well but I wanted it to drive like it did when new so traded out the battery pack. To be perfectly honest i cannot tell a lot of difference. there is some but not like day and night like I was hoping for..
Your issue could be as simple as your 12V battery under the hood............That 12V battery supplies power to the control modules and if it is weak it can cause some strange and widespread problems. Post back some info if you can. There are lots of people here willing to help, plus it allows everyone to learn the quirks of these vehicles and to possibly pick up some repair tips.

Yep I'm gonna say probably deteriorating hybrid battery. Mine is starting to slip in neutral in reverse as well, and is getting shuddery when i'm at low speeds. I think i'm going to go with GreenBeanBattery b/c of warranty + cost.

"Revise?" If English is not your first language, please try a little harder. I assume you mean REVERSE.
The top 3 reasons off the top of my head:
1) engine coolant is not sufficiently warm
2) you are demanding heat for cabin
3) SoC of battery is too low for commanded power, ICE starts to drive the generator to push additional current to the motor.
