Default dang...fuel mileage down..

well to 19.1...just did the math. the gauge was almost exactly correct. This thing is a wonder! sure as heck beats the 11 mpg jeep GC that I had...and it rides lots better and holds more too!

My mileage was much less during the cold weather because the truck doesn't run on batteries hardly at all below 32 F. I can tell the temperature by how quickly the truck will run hybrid. Even in the warmer temperatures it takes a while to warm up the batteries to run electric only.

Personally, I trust the car's fuel economy measurement more than the gas station's gauge. Gas station gauges are often off by quite a bit, and I'd rather have a consistent measurement than one that varies from place to place.

typically I don't see a lot of the benefits until it hits the first hash mark on the speedo. Also I turn of my day time running lights and this seems to help. The engine will shut down at stop lights with the headlights off and the temp at the first hash mark. It will run on batteries at this point but the warmer the temp (car temp not OAT) the longer it will stay in electric mode, its all dependent on how heavy your right foot is!
