Default diy for a back-up camera bypass switch?

I just saw a gmc pick-up commercial showing the back-up camera ON even while not on reverse. is there a diy or can the dealer install it. it would be useful in towing-being able to look at the towed vehicle.

Mmm interesting ... the only way I know to make that happen is with a nav lockpick.

But I'll do some google digging to see what I can find.
Do you happen to remember the exact commercial, or perhaps find it on youtube?
If so I'll post it on tahoeyukonforum and ask the guys there if they know how to do it.

Cheers!
