Another case of exaggerating the headline to get people to read the article-----

"While the vehicles maintain full braking capability, customers may initially perceive the condition as loss of brakes"

agree, they just love to make up strories, otherwise, media and Tv companies would go bust.

All the automakers are likely working overtime to make sure their houses are in-order. This is not the Ford of the old days, this is obviously a well-run company with the correct response to a very small problem. They put out the forest fire while it was still just a discarded cigarette...

No, this is for real. We have a 2009 FEH and the brakes have failed on it 5 times. The first time they failed, it rolled into our house. Ford is probably trying to CYA by saying, "Oh, it just feels different." No dude. the brakes don't work. If you know about Hybrids you know how complicated the braking system is. It is very difficult to get NHTSA to show any problems, online. There are many qualifications to get NHTSA to post complaints to the website. First, for example, you have to meet a certain percentage of cars on the road. Because the U.S. gov't put so much money into these cars they are not posting complaints to the NHTSA website.
